Car Recovery in Dubai for Vehicles That Cannot Be Driven

When a car genuinely cannot be driven, how it gets moved matters. The wrong lift damages bumpers, splitters, transmissions and all-wheel-drive systems, and the bill for that frequently exceeds the recovery itself. Our car recovery service runs flatbeds, so all four wheels leave the road and nothing is dragged.

We recover breakdowns, accident-damaged vehicles, cars with seized engines or failed gearboxes, and vehicles that have been standing long enough that moving them under their own power is not realistic.

Often the car only needs waking up, which is what jump start service Dubai covers.

Why Flatbed Rather Than Tow

A two-wheel tow leaves half the drivetrain turning with no engine running and, on many vehicles, no lubrication being circulated. On an automatic gearbox that can cause real internal damage within a few kilometres. On an all-wheel-drive vehicle it can destroy a centre differential or transfer case, because the front and rear axles are forced to rotate at mismatched speeds.

Flatbed recovery removes the question entirely. The vehicle is winched fully onto the bed and secured, so the drivetrain never rotates. For anything all-wheel drive, anything with a low front lip, and anything already damaged, it is the only sensible method.

Low-Clearance and Performance Cars

Dubai has an unusually high concentration of cars that cannot simply be driven up a standard ramp. Front splitters on performance models, lowered suspension and long front overhangs all catch on a steep approach angle.

These need low-angle loading, extended ramps or wheel-lift skates, and a winch operated slowly enough to keep the approach flat. If your car is low, tell us the model when you call so the right bed arrives — turning up with the wrong equipment either damages the car or wastes the trip.

Basement and Multi-Storey Extraction

A large share of Dubai's parking is underground, and posted height limits are commonly between 1.9 and 2.2 metres. A standard flatbed does not fit. Recovering a dead car from a tower basement usually means moving it out on skates or with a compact unit to a loading point at surface level, then transferring it to the flatbed.

This is entirely routine, but it needs to be planned before dispatch. When you call from a basement, give us the level, the posted clearance and whether the ramp is a spiral or a straight run.

After an Accident

Following a collision in Dubai you will normally need a police report before a vehicle can be moved or an insurance claim progressed. Recovering the car before that is documented can complicate the claim significantly.

We work to where the police process has actually reached and will hold off until the report is issued. We can deliver to your insurer's approved workshop, your own preferred garage or a storage yard — but the destination is your decision, and we will not route a vehicle to a workshop that pays a referral fee.

Process

How we do it

  1. Step 01

    Confirm what the car needs

Model, ground clearance, drivetrain, whether the wheels still turn and whether the steering is intact all change which unit is dispatched.

  2. Step 02

    Locate and access

Surface, basement level, hard shoulder or sand — access dictates the equipment far more than the vehicle does.

  3. Step 03

    Load without damage

Winched onto the flatbed at a shallow angle and secured at the wheels rather than the suspension or subframe.

  4. Step 04

    Deliver where you choose

Your garage, the insurer's workshop, your building or a storage yard. Confirmed before we set off.

?Questions

Frequently asked questions

Can you recover a car from a basement car park?

Yes. Because most flatbeds exceed the posted height limit, we typically move the vehicle to a surface loading point first using compact equipment or skates, then load it there. Give us the level and the height restriction when you call.

My car is very low. Will loading damage the front bumper?

Not with the right approach. Low-clearance vehicles need extended or low-angle ramps and a slow winch. Tell us the model when booking and we send a bed configured for it.

Can you recover a vehicle from soft sand?

Off-road extraction is a different discipline from road recovery — it needs a 4x4 recovery unit, proper recovery points and sand-capable equipment. Tell us the surface and how far from a graded road you are so we send something that will not itself get stuck.

Do I need a police report before you move my car?

After an accident in Dubai, generally yes. Moving a vehicle before the report is issued can undermine an insurance claim. We will wait for the process to complete.
