Terms and Conditions
The terms on which 800 Jump Start provides mobile battery and roadside services.

Quotes and Pricing
We provide a quote before dispatch, based on the information given on the call. If access or vehicle condition turns out to be materially different from what was described — a lower basement clearance, a vehicle that cannot be rolled, a different battery specification — we will re-quote before beginning work rather than adjusting the invoice afterwards.
You are free to decline at that point. Nothing is charged for work that has not been agreed.

Diagnosis
We test before recommending a replacement. Where testing shows the fault is not the battery — an alternator fault, a parasitic drain, or corroded terminals — we will tell you, and you will not be charged for a battery you do not need.
Diagnosis is carried out with portable equipment at the roadside. Some faults cannot be fully diagnosed without workshop equipment, and where that is the case we will say so rather than guess.

Access and Safety
You are responsible for ensuring we have lawful access to the vehicle and any authorisation required by a building, car park or free zone. Where a gate pass or resident authorisation is needed, arranging it is the customer's responsibility.
We reserve the right to decline to work in a location that is unsafe — a live traffic lane, an area with inadequate clearance, or a situation requiring the vehicle to be moved before work can safely begin. In those cases we will advise on the safe alternative.

Vehicle Electronics
We use a memory saver when disconnecting a battery so that stored settings are retained. Some vehicles nonetheless require certain functions to be re-initialised after a power interruption, which is a characteristic of the vehicle rather than a fault in the work.
Where a vehicle requires the battery to be registered or coded, we carry out that step. If a customer declines it, we will note that the resulting reduction in battery life is not covered.

Warranty
Battery warranty is provided on the terms set out on our warranty page and by the battery manufacturer. Warranty does not cover gradual capacity loss from heat, damage from an undiagnosed charging fault or parasitic drain, repeated deep discharge, or physical damage.

Liability
We carry out work with reasonable skill and care. Our liability is limited to the cost of putting right any defect in the work carried out. We are not liable for consequential losses such as missed appointments, travel costs or loss of earnings arising from a vehicle breakdown.
